Bushroot's Sleeping Beauty

After spending too much time the other day proofreading and editing my Negaverse story with its messed up Bushroot/Rhoda relationship, it left me with the urge to do a less angsty Bushroot/Rhoda picture with their normal-verse versions.

Here Bushroot is sitting next to a sleeping Rhoda, who most likely doesn't know he's leaning over her like that. The pose was inspired by a different Bushroot/Rhoda story I'm working on, in which Bushroot is attempting to prove to Rhoda that he's really not so bad and that she should give him a chance, while he's holding her captive in his greenhouse. (What can I say, he's good at rationalization.)

This was colored with Prismacolor markers. Originally I drew Rhoda's feet also, but drawing bare webbed feet at an angle in a sleeping position was not a challenge I was up to, so I cropped them out. It looks much better that way.
